Thailand Mission
CMA have been sponsoring children for many years at the Akha Training centre www.childrengoldentriangle.org
Many of these children are refugees from Myanmar (Burma), having fled to Thailand to escape the atrocities in Burma. Most are ‘stateless’ having no nationality, thus making them very vulnerable to human traffickers & the sex trade. In 2008 CMA developed a Thai version of its collection system ‘Cosmos’ and started a Thai company ‘Charter Lawyers’ to train & employ the children as they graduate from high school (which is a very vulnerable time in their lives).
