Taking part in Web Chat
If you have technical problems during your Web Chat session, you can contact us by phone or our online enquiry form.
Web Chat is available Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm (AEST). Charter Mercantile makes no assurance that Web Chat will be available at all times or that the service will be fault free.
If Web Chat is not available, for any reason, you will be directed to another contact mechanism.
Charter Mercantile agents will endeavour to provide you with complete, accurate and current information. Web Chat is available for general queries only and will not address other account queries (such as account balances, specific non payment consequences etc).
If the operator cannot answer your question, you will be directed to another contact mechanism.
We advise that you do not send any personal details via Web Chat. You must not send credit card details via Web Chat.
Sending confidential information is prohibited. If you think that your message may include confidential information then do not send it.
You are responsible for the content of any messages that you send on Web Chat.
You must not knowingly upload, send, transmit or make available any material that contains viruses or any other computer code, programmes or files designed to destroy,
interrupt or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
To the extent permitted by law, Charter Mercantile will not be liable for any content, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content,
or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content transmitted or otherwise made available via Web Chat.
Charter Mercantile will retain written records of Online Chat sessions for a period of 7 years.
